I thought that it might be a good idea to talk about what’s been happing at TBS in the last few months and the exciting plans that we have for the autumn.
Along with other charities, we are facing cuts in local government grants and as a consequence, awards from Trusts are more difficult to secure as the competition for limited funding increases. We have had to think long and hard about how best we can continue to serve our members well and improve our services, so that we are reaching more vulnerable people, providing them with quality experiences in a safe environment.
So, having listened to our members, the Trustees, the team and I got our heads together to come up with a plan that we hope will give our members even more services to enjoy.
We had to make some changes to the staff team, which was really difficult, but we are confident that we have made the right decisions to ensure that the future of TBS is secure. The next month or so will be challenging as we implement the changes, so please bear with us.
My heartfelt thanks to all those who have been so supportive this far, especially our amazing volunteers.
The good news!
From October we will be introducing some new services! We will have additional daytime Hub groups and a new weekend and evening membership. We will also be opening a brand new ‘Friends Farm’ Hub in North Ipswich.
We are very excited about the new Hub programme and membership options and can’t wait to get on with shopping for small animals for the Farm Hub. 😊
We will keep you posted with dates and more detail in September.
