Friends Farm Hub Leader
21 hours per week. This could include working some unsociable hours including evenings and weekends
Based at Otley College campus

The Befriending Scheme (TBS) is an established charity set up 28 years ago, to provide friendship and learning opportunities for vulnerable adults aged 16+.   An exciting recent development in partnership with Easton & Otley College, is the creation of a small-holding, called ‘Friends Farm Hub’ (FFH), based at Otley Campus, 8 miles north of Ipswich.  This is a rare opportunity for someone to take on a key role in a project that will make a huge difference to people’s lives.

We are looking for an individual who has the ability to think creatively and can be flexible and dynamic in their approach, whilst having sound organisational skills. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how they will contribute to the development of the Farm Hub.

Community Engagement and Participation Officer (Children & Families)
22 hours per week. This could include working some unsociable hours including evenings and weekends
Currently focused on Woodbridge, Hadleigh and Sudbury but could develop Suffolk wide (possible homeworking depending on location)

An exciting opportunity has arisen, to join The Befriending Scheme’s staff Team as a Community Engagement and Participation Officer (Children and Families) on an fixed term 12 month contract with a possible extension subject to funding. The successful candidate will be joining a small, but highly effective and energetic team that works with and supports vulnerable people to deliver a better quality of life.

Predominantly working directly with children and families in group settings, liaising with Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations, (VCS) businesses and local authorities; the post holder will be responsible for making the necessary contacts to enable delivery of engagement projects for vulnerable and isolated children and families within the communities of Suffolk.
