Young People’s Services
* * Unfortunately due to exceptional demand, we are currently unable to accept new membership applications to our One To One Befriending Services. Any existing applications will remain active. We will be reviewing the situation monthly and will re-open our waiting list as soon as possible. We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience caused. Our Hubs Memberships remain open and vulnerable people aged 16-25 are encouraged to join our social group in Sudbury and our Music Projects where available.
Applications to become a One To One Befriender are unaffected by this and can be made by contacting the details below. **
The Befriending Scheme provides a variety of leisure and social activities for vulnerable young people including those with disability. This includes weekly hub groups, evening and weekend befriending clubs and one off activity days. All of the groups offer young people the opportunity to meet friends, build their confidence and learn new skills.
We also provide linked friendships where young people are taken out on a 1:1 basis in the community with one of our registered volunteers to have fun and promote independence. Young people can choose with their linked volunteer the places they would like to go, which could include outings such as swimming, cinema, football matches, restaurants and much more!
If you would like to find out more about the services that we provide for young people, please contact our Young Persons’ Co-Ordinator, Will Ginno, on 07715 331596.
